New Student Orientation and PowerPoint

New Books
We do have a couple of new books this year. We have a new 8th grade science book and new math books. Our Math textbooks have been changed from 7th to 12th grade. We are looking forward to the new math books. They have many great features.

Here we go!
Well, the time has come. I saw many of you at the New Student Orientation and Book Buy Day. Many parents looked excited and many students looked a little hesitant. I am really excited to see all the Lord will be doing in our lives this year. There will be new experiences, new things to learn, and new challenges to face. There will be assignments, homework, and projects to complete. There will be sporting events, pep rallies, and camps to enjoy. Through all that happens the Lord will be weaving His will in our lives, showing us new things, helping us to grow, making us like Himself.
Every year I am looking for ways to improve what we do, and this year you will find several "improvements". One will be emails. You will be emailed every time your student gets a point of discipline in any class. You will also be emailed every time there is a missed assignment. Parent and school communication is one area that will really help in making our students successful. I also have a blog that you can check out for all sorts of info and happenings. Another improvement is in our curriculum. We are really looking forward to a new math textbook. You will have an entire book copy of the book at home online. You will also be able to see tutorials online.
Thank you for entrusting us with the education and nurturing of your child. We do not take this honor lightly, and we want to make this the best experience possible.
