Chapel: James 1

We talked about James 1 recently. It was the section that went along with the oneyearbibleonline.com. But, I really was struck by how much practical and powerful truth is packed into that chapter. I also encouraged them to take notes, keep track of the most important ideas, or write down questions as they read the Bible or listen to Bible studies. That practice alone changed so much for me. We talked about the different roles of Scripture too. Sometimes it feeds your spirit, sometimes it fills a need, and sometimes it finds the target. As we went through the chapter, the students decided what section fed them, filled them, or found the target. Spend some time and meditate on James 1. It is powerful stuff.
