Attendance

Classes begin at 8:00 A.M. and end at 3 P.M. everyday. Students are discouraged from being on the school grounds prior to 7:45 A.M. or lingering after 3:15 P.M., unless they are involved in school-related activities or if family members are involved in Day Care. Any Junior High students who are on campus after 3:15 P.M. should wait for parents at the High School and Junior High lunch area next to the gymnasium.

Any student that is absent must clear the absence with a note, email, or phone call from the parent.  Students have 24 hours to clear the absence.  Any absences uncleared will become a Truancy.  Truant students will serve Classroom Detentions until the truancy is cleared.

Emergency and Health Procedures

The Health Office offers immediate first aid to all injured or ill students. The nurse is available every day during school hours. The phone number is 556-0965; option 2.

1. If a student is injured on campus, the student should report this injury to a teacher or administrator immediately.

2. If a student becomes ill during school hours, he should request a hall pass from his teacher to the Health Office. The school nurse will contact a parent if necessary.

3.  If a student is advised to leave campus, the parent will be contacted and the student must check with the CCJH Office and sign out on the Sign-Out Sheet.  In the even that the student leaves campus due to illness without first signing out at the office, the student will be considered truant.

Closed Campus Policy

We are a Closed Campus. This means that all students are required to remain on campus until the end of their school day.  The administration requests that all personal celebrations be kept for after school hours so as not to disturb the academic goals of the school.

Any student leaving campus during school must sign out in the CCJH office.

When parents are out of town, it is imperative that the MCA/CCJH office be notified in advance and proper authorization is given for release to any other adult.

No student will be allowed to leave campus during school hours with another adult without the proper written/verbal parental consent.

The Sign-out Sheet will be considered as verification for a partial day absence.

The administration reserves the right to refuse a student permission to leave campus if the conditions outlined above have not been met.
