Policies

Dress Code 


All students will dress in the contracted school uniform for CCJH.  This will include tops, bottoms, and outerwear.   

When in attendance during the regular school day which begins “0” period. 

Girls will wear the contracted uniform for girls, and boys the contracted uniform for boys. 

All skirts must touch the knee; skorts are not worn in junior high school. 

Alterations of any kind must be approved by administration.


Hats are allowed outside of class. Hats should not be worn during class, assemblies, or chapels. 


The following are examples of things that will absolutely not be allowed on campus: 


a ) Hats, “T” shirts, jackets, etc., that advertise secular rock groups, alcohol, drugs, sex or offensive material. 

b ) Mohawks, mohawk pony-tails, liberty spikes, and/or painted hair or skin heads. Hair must be natural color

c ) Visible tattoos 

d ) Earrings on boys 

e ) Body piercing (other than the ears of girls) 

f ) Bare feet, bathroom slippers, robes, or blankets 

g ) Revealing, sleeveless, tank, halter, bare midriff, crop, spaghetti strap, low-cut, off-the-shoulder, revealing tops, sheer or see-through blouses 

h ) Short skirts, short shorts, or skorts on girls 

i ) Shirts and blouses that allow skin to show at the waist 

j ) Skin tight clothing or clothes with holes showing skin 

k ) All sheer or see-through skirts/dresses without a slip 

l ) Underwear showing on male or female students 

m) Hair must be kept out of student's eyes


Spirit Day / Free Dress Code

 

Spirit Day dress code is the School Spirit t-shirt purchased at the beginning of the year and dress code appropriate jeans. If a student does not follow the prescribed dress code, they will not be allowed to participate in Spirit Day dress for the rest of the semester. 

  

On selected free dress days, students must follow the outlined parameters above and any specified dress code standards. Students that do not follow the dress code will not be able to enjoy any further free dress days. 


Any infraction of the dress code will result in the following: 


1ST Offense: Will be given a warning and the situation remedied. 

2ND Offense: Will be referred to the office and the parent will be contacted. 

3RD Offense: Will result in Friday Detention. 

4TH Offense: Will result in Friday Detention and parent conference. 

5TH Offense: Will result in Suspension. 

6TH Offense: Will result in Expulsion. 


The school administration reserves the right to make all the final decisions regarding appropriate dress and grooming. Anyone arriving at school inappropriately dressed or groomed will be detained in the school office until the student has been counseled, the parents notified, and the situation remedied.
