Back to School 2009
Welcome back to school for the 2008-2009 school year. Our library is getting a new look and feel.
First, we are blessed to have our new online, digital library in place. Our desire is to help students and staff locate quality information and resources, quickly and easily by browsing our electronic library database through our library computers.
Secondly, we have just finished our long awaited conversion to our new library software. Our new software gives us a wonderful expanded database allowing us to find materials by topic, interest, genre, reading ability, and many other options. It also gives us the ability to better track the circulation of our materials. Although the basic conversion is complete, it will be an ongoing process as we continue to update information on all the books in our collection.
Thirdly, we have added on electronic message board inside the library. Information on this screen will change daily and will include such features as the daily scripture verse, SAT word of the day, birthdays, trivia facts, new items added to our collection, and other general announcements. This means better service and better resources for you.
We can see it will again be a very busy year, but we know it will be full of God’s wonderful blessings. Be sure to stop by to say hello, check out our new items, and pick up a good book to read before your workload gets too busy.
